Tell Us Why On a separate sheet of paper, please explain why you would like to go on the Washington Youth Tour, the reasons that you should be chosen for this trip, and what being a good leader means to you. This should be typed or neatly hand-written. Recommended length: minimum 300 words to maximum 600 words.

We affirm that (1) all information provided on this application is correct, (2) the parent has given permission for the student to enter this contest and to participate in the Youth Tour should he/she win, and (3) the student agrees to participate in the Youth Tour on the scheduled dates should he/she win.

Parent Signature

Please note: If a student who is chosen to be a Washington Youth Tour participant is, for any reason, unable to go on the tour, an alternate finalist will receive both the trip and the $500 scholarship.
