Linemen from EMCs, investor-owned utilities, municipalities, and contractors gathered in Kansas on October 19 for the International Lineman’s Rodeo. The 40th installment of the annual event saw 227 teams competing to demonstrate the determination and passion linemen hold for their work. The rodeo events mirror the challenges linemen face daily, including climbing poles, changing insulators, reconfiguring fiberglass arms, and completing a simulated rescue of an injured co-worker, all while racing against the clock
We are proud to share that among hundreds of these world-class linemen, Snapping Shoals EMC placed 5th in the EMC Division and 14th overall. The success of SSEMC within this competition is a testament to the dedication and pride our linemen hold in performing their job.
