Snapping Shoals EMC held our 81st Annual Meeting of the Members on July 18 at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers. A crowd of 1,436 registered members and their guest were treated to music from the 2019 International Country Gospel Music Association's Entertainer of the Year, Chris Golden.
Vistors received a variety of useful energy information and got a glimpse at some of SSEMC's exciting projects, such as out Cooperative Solar field, which is utilizing sheep to maintain the grounds.
Carol Minor of Dekalb County took home a Ford Ranger that was retired from the Snapping Shoals fleet. Arthur and Betty Rich of Covington were the Oldest Married Couple in attendance and will receive a $100 credit on their Snapping Shoals power bill. Hilda Berry, age 94, was the Oldest Member in attendance and will receive a $50 credit on her bill.
During the business session, directors Ruby Woods, Dr. Millard Ross, and James White were all re-elected to serve in Districts 1, 2, and 4, respectively.
