Plant/Cost Accountant


Snapping Shoals EMC is recruiting for the position of Plant/Cost Accountant. General responsibilities include the daily processing, month-end close, and general oversight of the Cooperative's Inventory, Asset Management, Fleet Management, Miscellaneous Receivables, and Work Order accounting processes. Accurate and timely reporting for SSEMC's Construction Work Plan and Capital Budget is also required.

Additional responsibilities include the preparation of job estimates which include detailed calculations of labor, material, fleet, and overhead cost estimates. Also, includes monitoring of SSEMC's Miscellaneous Receivable balances to ensure that payments are up to date and corresponding as necessary for collections.

A qualified applicant must have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or combination of education and experience is required.


Customer Care Representative I


Snapping Shoals EMC is recruiting for the position of Customer Care Representative I. The position provides assistance to consumers by providing a wide range of services. Qualified applicants must demonstrate telephone etiquette skills, work independently in a fast paced, high-pressure, call center environment and sit for long periods of time. Excellent customer service skills required. Electric utility experience is preferred. Punctuality and consistent work attendance, overtime and irregular work hours, experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook required. High School diploma or GED required. Relative advanced education preferred.


Bilingual Customer Care Representative I


Snapping Shoals EMC is recruiting for the position of Bilingual Customer Care Representative I. The position provides assistance to consumers by providing a wide range of services. Qualified applicants must demonstrate telephone etiquette skills, work independently in a fast paced, high-pressure, call center environment and sit for long periods of time. Excellent customer service skills required. Electric utility experience is preferred. Punctuality and consistent work attendance, overtime and irregular work hours, experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook required. High School diploma or GED required. Relative advanced education preferred. Must speak clearly and understand English and Spanish.
